Meet the Team
Casey Massey
Business Technology Consultant
Casey started his IT career in 2005 doing help desk and field support, learning small businesses and what is required to build and maintain their technology from the ground up. Later he joined a leading IBM partner and he was assigned clients over a six-state territory, providing traditional IT services, as well as enterprise projects.
Presented with an opportunity in 2012 to learn Managed IT Services as a new proactive way to provide IT services to small business, he jumped at the chance. Casey has spent the last 8 years learning and producing Managed IT Services for hundreds of businesses around Central Texas and Kentucky.

Dave Lynch
Chief Technology Officer
Dave Lynch has more than a decade of computer service experience and 8+ years in the managed IT services field. Dave has been an avid computer enthusiast since he was a teenager (which was awhile ago!). He is a serial entrepreneur and has been self-employed most of his career, so after working for several Austin-area managed service providers, he decided to join Heart of Texas IT. He spent 8 years in the Air Force as a helicopter crew chief in the Gulf War.
Tim
Senior System Administrator
Tim joined HOT IT in early 2018 but has been working in the IT field since 2016.
He holds an associate’s degree in Information Sciences and Technology along with an endorsement certificate in Security and Risk Analysis from The Penn State University.
As a CompTIA Secure Infrastructure Specialist, Tim maintains industry standard A+, Network+, and Security+ certifications. He enjoys solving complex technical challenges, improving internal processes, and helping clients get the most out of their technology. He brings a strong mix of technical expertise and dependable support to the HOT IT team.
Carey
Help Desk Specialist
Carrie recently moved from Cleveland, Ohio, to the great state of Texas and joined the Heart of Texas IT team. She graduated from ITT Technical Institute in 2013 with an associate’s in Computer Network Systems and began her career in managed IT services. Over the years, Carrie gained hands-on experience as an IT Support Specialist, troubleshooting systems, optimizing workflows, and helping users get the most out of their technology.
Carrie loves solving complex problems and helping others find practical solutions, bringing patience, creativity, and a user-focused approach to every challenge. She is passionate about keeping systems running smoothly and making IT approachable for everyone.
